We liked Rumi Wasi. It is in a good location, a couple of blocks from the main square; you would not want to be right near the main square where it is noisy. It is peaceful at Rumi Wasi. You can easily walk to restaurants, and to many tourist sites such as Sacsayhuaman. We had the room with the roof deck, which was a nice space, but we couldn't get up there the last day because the remote control that opens the roof hatch was not working. Eating breakfast on the high verandah area was nice. Nice view. You didn't really see other guests at all, we were near the main door and so pretty isolated. Which could be good or bad, depending on what you want. The decorations were nice and the building is a charming old place.

A peaceful haven within the lively heart of the city, as soon as you open the main doors of the property you feel like you have entered another world. The balcony where you can take a very delicious breakfast is wonderful, as are the lovely staff who run it. Manuel is very helpful and super responsive. The little luxuries like bringing you morning coffee in a thermos so you can enjoy it hot, free filtered water and free hot water for tea and coffee, were truly unique and saved me so much time! After the Salkantay trek, I couldn’t have asked for a nicer place to relax at. If you can afford it, don’t miss out on this gem!

Great location, gorgeous building and warm welcome from Manuel. He contacted me the day before arrival and arranged a taxi for us. He welcomed us with coca té and gave us tips and trics. He was always available through Whatsapp for our questions. Wonderful room, but the balcony (we had room 7) was just perfect (huge and the view was breathtaking). The wonderful staff provided breakfast (you can order it the day before through a special website) at the balcony every morning, on the time we wished. The location is also perfect, a short walk to the main square.

We stayed here for 6 nights in total with a trek to Machu Picchu in between. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, and they let us store our bags for free until we returned. The ambiance of the interior courtyard and rooms is very authentic and appealing, the beds are clean and extremely comfortable and the hotel is within walking distance from the fun and lively main square (albeit uphill on the way home). We especially enjoyed the delicious and hearty breakfasts which were included.

The decor and the vibe was really nice. Small and made you feel like you were in a home not a hotel. Manuel went above and beyond. He had a scale for us to weight our bags before the Inca Trail trek. We were able to store our bags there while we were in the trek. Manuel arranged for rides to and from the airport. He was a single by text whenever we needed him for anything. The hotel is also within walking distance of Plaza de Armas. Lots to do in the area!
